NLB Academy (NLBA) was set up as a learning academy in April 2005 to offer continuous learning and development of NLB staff and to develop independent and competent information-seeking skills for our clients. NLBA offers total training solutions for individuals as well as corporate clients to foster knowledge-creation for information seekers. A combination of classroom learning and e-learning approaches can be adopted to meet your training requirement.
Is one organization which has made significant contributions through its INTERNET traveling workshops in the region which aimed at training librarians for effective use of the Librarians in the effective use of the INERNET for teaching learning and research purposes thus making a positive contribution to both African universities Libraries and Public libraries towards equipping those to take responsibility in IL programs. QULOC is a collaborative organisation which provides a framework for information exchange, best practice development, cooperative activities and the promotion of common interests which support the teaching, learning and research needs of member institutions. Membership comprises twelve university libraries from Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory, plus the State Library of Queensland. QULOC supports a number of working groups on areas relevant to academic libraries, including the QULOC Information Skills and Services Working Party, a sub-group with carriage of information literacy.

The SCONUL WGIL started life as the Information Skills Group. It developed the SCONUL 7 Pillars model of information literacy in 1999 which is widely used. It has organised events and produced publications. Current remit includes: Develop, refine and promote the concept and SCONUL model of information literacy within the higher education sector; Ensure that the role of information literacy in learning and teaching, research, and organisational enhancement is communicated effectively and understood by the wider educational professional groups in Higher Education; Work collaboratively with other groups (both within and outside SCONUL) and organisations to stimulate strategies and the development of underpinning pedagogies relating to information use in HE
This summerschool is number 5 organized in a Nordic country. The local planning group includes representatives from Stockholm City Library, the Library of Karolinska institutet, V丳j?iversity Library and Stockholm University Library. The focus of the summer school is on library specific methods and different perspectives of information literacy. Learning among adults, pedagogical conversations, students as peer educators, learning environments are also included in the programme.
